The Faithful Worker @14 The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it. (1 Thessalonians 5:24) It is His faithfulness that we depend on, not our own . July 23 I arrived in Cambodia in 2008, which was 14 years ago.  While on the bus from the capital city of Phnom Penh to Battambang, we traveled for seven hours; the rain was pouring so hard on that day. I have seen no mountains but extensive rice fields. I was exuberant about what the Lord had in store for me in this former killing field but now living fields’ country. The following day, at the wet market, while looking for some stuff, I accidentally stepped on the feet of a young lady; and I immediately said, “Aukorn!”  My shoes were full of mud, and the lady’s facial reaction was pain, but after I quickly uttered “Thank you!” in Khmer language and she smiled at me for I was supposed to say, “Somtos (sorry). God’s amazing grace has been at special work from that day onward in transforming me...

A  New Beginning a New Beginning Nika graduated from her six-month Discipleship Training School (DTS) at YWAM, Battambang, and got engaged to my friend, Gideon. It was a privilege to witness these two special occasions in Nika’s life. Nika is gifted in evangelism; she is passionate about sharing the Gospel of Jesus.  She shared Jesus Christ with the villagers where she led a team to Preah Vihear province during her DTS field assignment; moreover, she doesn’t stop sharing Jesus with her family, relatives, and children. On Sunday at her house during our Bible Study, Nika shared the story of A Good Samaritan. Her father and aunty listened to God’s Word. I was silently praying for the Holy Spirit to use Nika powerfully while she was sharing Jesus Christ.  When Nika, asked me to share more about the compassion and mercy of Jesus, our time was extended, and we had a Q & A where her aunty and her father received Jesus as their Savior and God ; a new life be...

Shine   In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matthew 5:16   Evangelism: Nika’s growing faith in Jesus is bearing fruit. We have been praying for her cousin, Pisay, she joins the Cell group fellowship irregularly. God used Nika to share Jesus Christ’s salvation and forgiveness. Pisay finally believes in Jesus as her Lord and Savior! We rejoice and give thanks to God for His mercy and grace to Pisay. The three children of Pisay came with her sometimes in our cell group. She is also now praying that her husband will come to know the Lord Jesus. Nika with her classmates at DTS went to Preah Vihear province for two weeks as part of their evangelism class. When they came back to Battambang, she was not feeling well yet she joined our Sunday cell group. We have eaten our lunch together at Shine and then the following day, she was tested COVID positive. I need to do s...
