Why Are We Here?

 " Why are we here?" This question was asked by our BSOP International Director, Dr. D. Nordine during our worship time on our 16 th Cambodia Field Council meeting. It was a refreshing and timely reminder for us to ponder again why are we here in Cambodia. We have known that God’s calling in our life is the expression of His nature, not ours. Shine's New Place

Battambang Sangker River, water was overflowing again... This picture was taken two weeks ago (Battambang News) when almost every day Battambang downtown was flooded with water. This flood is common in Cambodia. Praise God it receded already. And Shine's new place is now situated in the eastern part of this bridge. Crossing the other side of the river for God’s glory. Since I arrived from my home assignment, the Holy Spirit has stirred up my faith to put my whole confidence in Him. He promised that He would cross with me across the other side of the river at this season of life and ministry. In the beginning, I was uncertain about moving, not only because of my right arm problem but because of the obvious reason, wanting to make sure of His will. Thus, God shows who He is. He answered all the prayer lists I had written for a new place, and He even gave more than what I asked for.   LOOKING BACK Home Assignment highlights: Celebrated my 49 th  birthday with my family, graced two weddings as a godmother, at the same time wedding coordinator, was the speaker for Mother’s Day & Father’s Day celebrations at churches, encouraged the youth to pursue God intentionally, university graduation of my two nieces, joined the Women's National Congress, and the blessing to rest. These were all God’s gifts of grace. Glory is all His. On my birthday with my siblings in Masbate. Nieces and nephews on my birthday.  Car birthday prank. :) Two sisters and nieces were behind all the planning. I was sweating and perplexed for a few minutes but delighted afterward. :)  A well-planned birthday dinner by my family.  Mother's Day celebration at Curvada Baptist Church.  Father's Day celebration at Madamba Baptist Church.
