From Conflict to Calm: Giving Thanks to God for His Faithfulness The 18 soldiers were released at the Pailin border and taken to Battambang Old Airport (just behind my rented apartment) before flying to Phnom Penh today. As this year comes to a close, our hearts are filled with deep gratitude to God. What began with fear, uncertainty, and the sound of conflict around us has ended with a measure of calm through the ceasefire. Truly, the Lord has been our refuge and strength in times of trouble. There were days when war felt too close—when families were displaced, homes and livelihoods were lost, and peace seemed far away. Yet in the midst of it all, God sustained us. He protected lives, strengthened weary hearts, and united His people in prayer. We witnessed firsthand that God is faithful, even when circumstances are unstable.   Faith Over Fear: God’s Peace in Times of War But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed . One girl broke down in tears, sharing that she no longer had a home to return to.  On December 10, I welcomed ten Filipino evacuees from Poipet into my home. They shared how God protected them as bombs exploded just 10 kilometers from their houses, sha...

PRAYER UPDATE: Thailand–Cambodia Border Clashes (December 8-10, 2025)   Photos by a friend on Facebook Family fleeing from war on their "Kuyon" (tractor). Dear partners in prayer, We ask you to join us in lifting Thailand and Cambodia before the Lord as recent clashes along the northwest border have directly impacted several provinces, including Poipet, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, and Pursat. The intensified conflict has brought fear, displacement, and uncertainty to many families. Tensions continue to rise in various areas, placing additional strain on communities already burdened by economic challenges and previous instability. This evening, I welcomed ten Filipino missionaries and teachers who were evacuated from Poipet—the largest border crossing between Cambodia and Thailand.  The couple missionaries are setting up their tents in my living area, and the singles are staying in the bedroom. Meanwhile, the church members from Poipet are staying at a church he...
