PRAYER UPDATE: Thailand–Cambodia Border Clashes (December 8-10, 2025)

Dear partners in prayer,

We ask you to join us in lifting Thailand and Cambodia before the Lord as recent clashes along the northwest border have directly impacted several provinces, including Poipet, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, and Pursat. The intensified conflict has brought fear, displacement, and uncertainty to many families. Tensions continue to rise in various areas, placing additional strain on communities already burdened by economic challenges and previous instability. This evening, I welcomed ten Filipino missionaries and teachers who were evacuated from Poipet—the largest border crossing between Cambodia and Thailand.

The couple missionaries are setting up their tents in my living area, and the singles are staying in the bedroom. Meanwhile, the church members from Poipet are staying at a church here in Battambang and at the Freedom’s Promise Center.

Please pray for:

·         Peace and de-escalation between both nations, that leaders will pursue dialogue and restraint.

·         Protection for civilians, especially children, elderly, and those living in border villages.

·         Wisdom for local authorities and peacekeeping forces as they manage the situation.

·         Comfort and provision for those who have been evacuated or affected.

·         Opportunities for the church to be a light, offering hope and practical help during these trying days.

May the Lord, who “makes wars cease to the ends of the earth” (Psalm 46:9), bring His peace, healing, and protection over the region.

Thank you for standing with us in prayer.
