MID-YEAR MISSIONS UPDATE: CHRIST AT WORK

We praise God for His faithfulness as He continues to transform lives through the Gospel in Cambodia.

The Center for Global Impact (CGI) celebrated the graduation of five Culinary Training Center students. Beyond the ceremony, it was a precious opportunity for Glenda (a BSOP colleague missionary) and me to help share the hope of Christ with graduates, families, and community leaders. Please pray that the seeds of God's Word planted in their hearts will bear lasting fruit.

We also rejoice in the salvation of Im and Srey Oun. Though they had heard the Gospel many times, they publicly surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ during a Friday worship service. What a beautiful reminder that salvation is the work of the Holy Spirit alone. All glory belongs to God!

Im (on the left and center) and SreyOun (on the right) are both members of the restaurant staff.

Last week, the CGI Battambang staff retreat was held in Siem Reap for three days. It was a wonderful time to recharge from physical work, but also an essential time to be intentional about making wise choices. Im promised to go to church soon, and Sokunthea, both of whom we spent time with, through intentional discipleship, declared to follow Jesus in water Baptism during the retreat. God is actively working in our midst. Praise and glory to God alone.

This photo was taken at the library within the Angkor Wat temple, located near the center of the ancient site. In the background, beyond the three cone-shaped structures, stands the majestic Angkor Wat temple itself.
Prayer time after worship.

Praise God for Sokhunthea’s step of faith and obedience in following the Lord through water baptism. Vannarath (in the green shirt), the CGI Battambang Director, and I had the privilege of officiating this special occasion.

At Worship Assembly Battambang Church, God continues to grow His people in faith and service. Even when a Sunday service was held without electricity, presentations, or instruments, the presence of God was evident. Hearts were focused on Christ, His Word was proclaimed, and the Holy Spirit moved powerfully among His people.

We thank God for Mie Oun's growing faith and her passion to share Christ with her family. Once ignored when speaking about Jesus, she is now being approached by family members asking for prayer. God is drawing her household closer to Himself.

We thank God for another opportunity to share the message of hope at Legacy of Hope Academy (LHA) during the LOHI Moving-Up Ceremony. May the Lord continue to work in the hearts of these children, their parents, and teachers, and may His saving grace draw them to a personal faith in Jesus Christ.

We thank God for the timely visit of a dear friend and counselor, Myra, who faithfully served as a missionary in Cambodia for over a decade. Her presence was a great blessing to Leakhena and to me as she navigates grief from the loss of loved ones and the transition of leaving her job. After nearly eight years of serving alongside her husband in an NGO, Leakhena stepped down from her role as Country Director. Though this season has been a challenging, faith-stretching journey for Leakhena and Phirun, God's sustaining grace and faithfulness continue to carry them through.

Praise & Thanksgiving

  • God's protection and blessings during my visit to the Philippines, where I had opportunities to share the Gospel with relatives.
The Grajo family, though many family members are not pictured here.

  • Complete healing from my facial lesion.
  • The salvation of Im and Srey Oun  & Sokhunthea's obedience to God through water baptism.
  • The joy of celebrating God's faithfulness on my 52nd birthday.

My disciples, students, church family, BSOP colleagues, and friends surprised me on my birthday. My heart is filled with gratitude for the love and kindness they showed.

What a wonderful God we serve! His grace in my life is truly beautiful. Though I am undeserving, He continues to pour out His blessings and surround me with people who reflect His love. To God alone be all the glory and praise.

·         I was blessed with the opportunity to connect with fellow Filipinos, missionaries, and ministry workers during the Philippine Independence Day celebration in Siem Reap. It was a special privilege to receive an invitation from the Philippine Consulate and to join the commemoration of the 128th Philippine Independence Day in Cambodia—my first time participating in this meaningful event. All glory to our Abba Father.
