Please PRAY for
Cambodia and Thailand
July 28, 2025
Borders remain closed on both sides due to ongoing tensions. The death toll continues to rise, and food scarcity is becoming a real concern, particularly in northeastern and northwestern Cambodia—areas near the border where approximately 80% to 90% of goods are imported from Thailand. Please pray for the leaders of both nations, who are scheduled to meet today in Malaysia at 3:00 PM on July 28, 2025, in hopes of reaching a lasting and peaceful resolution.
Exodus. Cambodians are gripped by fear once again, haunted
by memories of the painful past from four decades ago. Thousands of
families—many with elderly members and young children—are being displaced,
forced to leave their homes and seek shelter under tractors, tents, and trees,
without access to basic necessities such as food, toilets, clean water, and
electricity.
Government leaders have appealed for help from
the United Nations and Asian leaders, urging them to intervene and bring about
a ceasefire. The official death toll in Cambodia has not been publicly
disclosed, likely to avoid further panic, as citizens are painfully aware of
the country’s limited military capability.
Young soldiers—some the sons and relatives of
fellow believers—are now being sent to the front lines at the border. This is urgent.
Cambodia, a nation of 16 to 17 million people,
is crying out for peace. Yet, as they wait, many choose to stand firm and
defend their land.
Please join us in prayer as we continue to share the peace, forgiveness, love, and salvation of Jesus in the midst of chaos, suffering, and uncertainty.
Since the clash at the border intensified on July 24, and continuing from the 25th onward, I haven’t stopped doing the ministry—spending time with the locals and our contacts in prayer and worship, listening to their fears and cries of pain.
Please pray for peace—a peace that transcends all hope and understanding,
knowing that Jesus is in control.
This prayer extends to many Thais as well, who
have also been displaced and are living in fear.
BSOP Team Cambodia – We are now safely together in
Battambang after rescuing one of our colleagues from Oudor Meanchey province,
near the border.
We continue to seek wisdom and discernment from the Holy Spirit as we remain
vigilant. Our presence is now fully reported and accounted for by the
Philippine Embassy in Phnom Penh.
The generosity, kindness, and unity of the Cambodian people are clearly evident during this time. Many are helping one another by sending food and basic necessities. Some have opened their homes and even hotels to accommodate those who have made it to Battambang proper.
We’ve also sent assistance to our brothers and sisters in the Lord who are currently staying in shelters.
Matthew 7:3-10
3“Blessed
are the poor in spirit,
for
theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed
are those who mourn,
for they
will be comforted.
5 Blessed
are the meek,
for they
will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed
are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they
will be filled.
7 Blessed
are the merciful,
for they
will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed
are the pure in heart,
for they
will see God.
9 Blessed
are the peacemakers,
for they
will be called children of God.
10 Blessed
are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for
theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Let us all be God’s peacemakers—for His Kingdom and His glory.
Thank you so much for standing with us in prayer. It has truly been a roller coaster journey for us here on the field. Battambang is about 90 kilometers away from the border areas of Pailin and Komreang.
Please continue to pray with us as we disciple them and help them grow in their faith.
