Season of Sowing
“Let
us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a
harvest if we do not give up.”
— Galatians 6:9
Coaching the teachers and teaching the children in our church’s Sunday School is another opportunity and responsibility to plant seeds of love, and hope. Singim, Noch, and Essa are our Sunday School teachers. While spending time with these teachers, I also teach the children alongside them. Each month, we take turns leading and teaching the children.
Our Sunday School children are a mix
of believers and unbelievers. It’s encouraging to see their excitement as they
attend, learning Bible stories, memorizing Scripture, and enjoying crafts and
fun activities. The seed may be small, but God gives the growth.
The WABC Young Adults are also growing—not only in their faith but in their service. During our monthly fellowship, we decided to bless a village this Christmas through our individual financial contributions. Each member committed to give at least $15 so we can provide lunch and gifts for those who will join. What a blessing to witness the growth and maturity of our young adults as they step into a new season of sowing the message of hope into their community. Sow generously, for God is the Lord of the harvest.
I am also spending time with three women—Kunthea, Em, and Rany—for life coaching. They are staff members at CGI’s Green Mango restaurant. Among them, only Rany is a new believer in Jesus. Kunthea, though not yet a believer, is open and regularly joins our Sunday worship services, bringing her son, and daughters, Bella and Laila, who now attend Sunday School. Em is still unsure of what or whom to believe. This is a precious opportunity to plant seeds of faith and salvation in the lives of these women and their families. Sowing in faith leads to a harvest in His time.
Hannah is filled with excitement as she prepares for her Discipleship
Training School (DTS) with YWAM in Siem Reap early next year (2026). She is
passionate about learning the Word of God and radiates joy and energy during
our cell group gatherings.
We also welcomed Sreynoch,
who recently joined our Bible class for the first time. She was one of the
little girls in our village Sunday School years ago, along with her twin. She
now comes with Dara’s youngest sister, Dalis, and their cousins Mary
and Alyn—all of whom were part of our children’s Sunday School a decade
ago. Now, they are all grown and taller than me! Truly, the sowing of seeds
must continue, for every seed sown in love bears eternal fruit.
It’s always uplifting to reconnect with former students from our English classes and Bible school. One of them, Sina — a former monk — now works as a supervisor for Samsung across five provinces. He was delighted to meet again after more than a decade and even sent me our old photos from the day he received his certificate. Please pray for Sina, that he may come to know Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
