DumnangLaorKampuchea/ GoodNews Cambodia Merry Christmas! English is a skill to learn. Those who have acquired this well perhaps will have a better opportunity to have a nicer job and be away from being trafficked into prostitution or slavery which is pretty common among the poorest families in the neighborhood. Praise the Lord for using us all to be the catalyst of hope in this season once again. Teaching more than English it is. LOHI Awarding of Certificates on December 2 went great with 113 graduates and 25 were from computer class and the rest were from English language class. 84 students received special awards through their excellent performances in each level for three terms. This is a promising hope to the graduates. Praise the Lord for His mercy and sustaining grace in making an impact into students’ life. What a great God we have!  All glory and honor to HIM alone. These were the graduates who have studied in the class that I am teaching. Than...

DumnangLaorKampuchea/ GoodNews Cambodia BSOP turns 15! The life that shines for His glory becomes the light in this dark world.  Praise the Lord for His light that has led many Buddhists people to the true Light. Currently, many Cambodians and Thais are now God’s instruments in leading those who are in the dark to see the amazing Light. Looking back , thousands of people have heard the message of hope and hundreds are now serving the Lord. Hallelujah for He is mighty to save indeed! Looking forward , millions and thousands are still living in the dark. They need hope obviously because they are still standing in the dark, looking out for the Light. May you continue to partner in bringing that light to them through your prayer and giving in the next 15 years? Lord willing we will thrive together for His glory & honor.   Looking up , this is only possible in Christ . I pray to share the Gospel of Christ to many Cambodians at school, villages, and at...

D umnangLaorKampuchea/GoodNewsCambodia When times of crisis come to our family, how do we respond? Does the pressure pull us apart or weld us closer together? Do we find ourselves praying?   Two months had passed since Chantou has been admitted to a hospital with severely burned body.  The wound heals and the skin peels off in layers and it is more horrible to look at than the first time he was admitted. Looking at him intently with a thinking that perhaps he is in so much pain but I haven’t seen a glimpse of pain nor a frown face because of discomfort. I asked him, “What do you need?” He mentioned, “I want a Bible with big letters, so I can read.”  He lost all his little possessions on fire, so I was touched with the request.  He could have asked for something else…Another, visit at the hospital I brought his written prayer requests, a month before the tragedy happened. He looked & read it quietly and after that he inserted it in his new Bible....

Faith under pressure is commendable because of His grace .  I have an important prayer request  in regard to our Bible school student, Chantou. He is pastoring a church in a far distant village with his two kids, in Krochap Leu village, Pailin. He lost his small house to a fire and he was badly burned. We tried to help in any way we can when we visited and prayed for him at the hospital of Pailin province. His striving family is trying hard, he is faithful in serving the Lord; normally he brings his younger son, Vichet every time we have Bible school class every month.  The older son is grade 3 at the age of 11, who got burned also on his leg. Chantou helped his two sons to escape from fire.  We hope to help the older son who is "at risk" and prone to human trafficking in this very remote and poor area by bringing him to LOHI dormitory as the building is now ready to use to continue his studies. Chantou is by himself in taking care of his children. By t...

DumnangLaor Kampuchea/ GoodNews Cambodia God did it all! Twelve Bible school students came. God made it possible for me to handle the four day class without a translator. All glory to God! It was a spiritual warfare class. Surely Satan was not happy with it. One student wasn’t able to come because of illness. Another one left with his family without a word; abandoning the ministry that he is responsible with due to a financial crisis. Night before the class’ starts my whole body was in pain, I couldn’t lift my arms just before I was about to pray for each one of the students. My two dear nephews, RJ & JJ were sick that time but JJ the youngest was severely affected that he needs to be rushed to the doctor.  However, keeping His Word and knowing the battle is God’s, made me firm. Thus, the four day class was successful and meaningful. Praise the Lord! On the first day of the class we did sharing testimonies and confessions to relinquish any strongholds before th...

DumnangLaor Kampuchea / GoodNews Cambodia Bethlehem Star of Peace (BSOP) I am back! Teaching new batch of students with two Monks in this new term is another refreshing head start to share the message of Christ’s salvation to these two Buddhist leaders, yet the spiritual battle is huge.  Please do stand with me in prayer again. The church has welcomed me back with new time of Sunday worship schedule! Praise the Lord for the full packed Sunday worship! A church member Sarem, is getting married on May 27 and I had a short conversation with her fiancĂ© at the church recently. Praise God, the guy is a believer! What a joyful welcome! Glory to God! Dara has been leading church worships though she’s not a “typical singer,” yet sh...
