CHANGED LIVES
If a word of encouragement from a teacher to a student can change a life. How much more the Word of God that is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. Hebrews 4:12

PANHA & KIMSENG after the Discovery class, happy with chocolates.

From hopeless to hopeful, an amazing life transformation of Panha and Kimseng. Is Jesus really God? One of the questions they have asked. These two were my former students in English but now working at the center as teachers also. It was in June 2018 when I approached them to be in a Discovery class. They were adamant not to study, however, because of God’s mercy and prayer they have started to study every Tuesday & Thursday. When the lessons reached to the supernatural birth of Jesus, His death, and resurrection, the spiritual battle was so real.  There was no single class that I will not have a physical problem. Panha and Kimseng were bewildered in the truth that Jesus is God manifest in the flesh and the only way, the truth, and life. I felt the resistance in the spirit. But through fervent prayer, God won these two precious souls back to Him. The Holy Spirit convicted their hearts and they believed in Jesus as the ONLY SAVIOR.  Beforehand, Kimseng was so sure that there was no other God outside Buddha and Panha was confused and hopeless in the assurance of life. Nevertheless, God’s mercy and compassion are uncontainable; thus, Panha and Kimseng are now hopeful and assured of God’s eternal life. Glory is all His.

Vorleak & Singim

From useless to useful, evidence of God’s grace and power to Singim and Vorleak’s life.  These beautiful young teachers were not confident, especially Singim, a very shy young lady when she was my English student. However, God’s plan is beyond what we can think of, Singim had studied the Bible for a year in Discovery class and received the Lord Jesus as her Savior and Lord. After that, Singim had proceeded to Discipleship class with Vorleak. They recently finished the Intentional Discipleship Move book. They have written an amazing testimony of how the Lord had changed their lives. They know that outside Jesus, they are useless; furthermore, both are now one of the most promising teachers we have at the center. Singim is now an active Sunday school teacher for kids at church and Vorleak is a praise and worship singer. Their faith in God is growing as they experience difficulties in the family. Singim, after the death of her aged grandmother, her mother needs her assistance quite often. Vorleak from a broken family, she is struggling yet always finding the means to help her mother and grandmother through teaching and her part-time job in singing at the weddings. God bless her with a good voice. Praise and glory to God alone.

CTC Core leaders in Battambang.
One of the CTC's fellowship

From independence to interdependence. Five leaders from different schools of ministries in Battambang are working together as a core group in reaching out to the teachers under Cambodia Teachers Community (CTC).  Pastor Rady from Youth With a Mission (YWAM), Sina from Young Life center, Erica from Pannastra University, Pastor Sophal of Hope School, and me from LOHI. We have been working independently within our area of the ministry until God brought us to work together in reaching the teachers' community in Battambang. We are continually praying, planning and meeting the Christian teachers since last quarter of 2018. Our vision is partnering with Christian educators in transforming society through the Gospel of Jesus by reaching and equipping the unbelieving teachers at different schools in Battambang. Recently, I was honored to grace the essential inauguration in the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports new Deputy Director in the whole province of Battambang, representing LoHI. What a privilege it was to speak blessings to Mr. Yi Songky on stage. Praise the Lord!
