VISA
Hurdles if faced as challenges or tests of
faith will help us to focus on Jesus. This recently happened to me in
changing my visa from gratis visa to e-business visa. Crossing the border of
Cambodia and Thailand are extremely difficult. I was interrogated by Thai
immigration after queueing for more than 3 hours and was hindered not to enter
Thailand by land. My new passport has its firsts’ stamp—“canceled”. However,
there was a tiny hope and that’s what I need. I was advised to fly instead. It
was crucial for me to exit Cambodia in order to have a new visa and be able to
extend for longer terms. Praise God I was scheduled immediately to fly as my
visa was about to expire. Due to the canceled stamp in my passport, it created
an issue to the immigration officers in Siem Reap, Cambodia airport. I was
again interrogated but an “angel” came to my rescue. Another officer came and
just by looking at my new and old passport understood the situation. He
immediately ordered the first and second officer to let me in. Praying hard as
the real battle, I thought was in Thailand immigration but no single question
asks, rather, the Thai Smile airlines won’t allow me to fly back to Cambodia
because I have no return ticket to my home country, or a visa in Cambodia that
would be a proof that I can stay longer in the country. However, God’s promise helped me focused, “…For with God, nothing is impossible.” It was a super thrilling
journey of faith, and I was even double checked prior to boarding the
airplane. God is great! He guided me on what to do upon arrival in Cambodia. I
went to Phnom Penh and was able to process my one-year e-business visa! It will be released within 10 working days. God’s ways are amazing! Indeed, seeing
obstacles as opportunities will fuel our faith in God.
English Camp 2019
went well! I left on the last day of the camp on Saturday because that’s
the day of my flight to Thailand. LOHI staff urged me to be at the campsite on
Saturday morning before heading to Siem Reap airport. They’ve surprised me with
prayers and tokens! Praise God, the goals of English Camp was met. We have reached and evangelized the 300+
campers with staff and team from Malaysia who conducted the six stations with
the theme, “The Lost World.” Pastor Sophin, took the responsibilities as a camp
master this time around, I was only assisting him. The evaluation was
positive. All glory to God.
THANKSGIVING: Praise
God for…
1. Safety travel,
favor, provision on my visa. Despite a minor motorcycle accident before leaving
for my flight that day. The accident happened outside the printing shop where I
printed my flight itinerary. A teenager
hit my motorbike’s basket with his motorcycle. Praise God, nothing worse
happened to me and to the teenager who fell on the ground with minor bruises
and has no helmet. He was in a wrong lane though, yet I have to help him until
he was feeling better. That night on the airplane my shoulders and arms were in
pain with a bruised thigh, but I was fine after taking the pain reliever.
2. Successful English Camp.
3. Good health after all the traveling’s I have had for
my visa.
SUPPLICATIONS: Please
pray for…
1. My one year visa to be released on the 20th
of this month.
2. Good health and protection in the driving motorcycle.
3. Transition: Praying for a strategic place and
essential planning for the next ministry in 2020 and beyond.
4. Baptism of my disciples in the Lord Jesus on October
5: Singim, Sreymom, Daneth, Panha & Kimseng
(these two are not sure yet), but the first 3 are ready to follow Jesus
in a public display of faith. Glory is
all HIS.
