“For with God,
nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37
The entrance of where Shine is on the middle right side. At the end of it is the market area.
Before leaving for home assignment last year, I prayed
for a place where Shine ministry would be. Even while at home I asked God to
lead me to it as it is His ministry. The day after I arrived in Battambang, I
drove my motorcycle and prayed around the area once again and asked for God’s
prepared place for Shine and He led me to this nice place with a kind-hearted
landlord who has helped carry my heavy stuff into his truck for free. God has
answered our prayer favorably as the monthly rental is according to the budget.
Thus, I moved to the new place on the 26th
of February. This is a 3 floors building with 4 rooms, a kitchen, and a
receiving space on the ground floor. I am staying in one of the rooms on the third floor. Three
rooms are having the same size of 3x4 meter room and there is one bigger room,
good for classes and training. God has His way, we just need to wait and
pray without ceasing for indeed, with Him everything is possible. Glory is all
His.
This is the apartment building for Shine ministry which where the truck parked with my stuff.
Praise and
Thanksgiving:
1. An answered prayer, Shine
ministry place.
2. Good health and strength,
though I have some back and hips’ pain.
3. Several short meetings with
Shine team (Singim, Dara, & Kanhchany)
4. House warming with the BSOP
team on March 7. We prayed for the whole place.
5. Women’s International Day
celebration with some Cambodian friends at Shine kitchen on March 8. I cooked
pork adobo and Bicol express to them. They like Filipino foods! No leftovers.
BSOP ladies prayed the whole place with the lighted candle for there is no darkness can withstand the light of Jesus Christ.
Flindy was praying for the receiving area.
Jenny prayed for the door and the whole entrance of the building.
Ann was praying for the kitchen.
Glenda was praying for the stairs.
At Shine kitchen on International Women's Day with my previous students, LOHI dorm girls, and Heidzn, the only girl of Pastor Sam. We shared our favorite woman Bible character and our model in a contemporary world. It was a heart-warming sharing time as two of them who has no much background of the Bible asked if they can choose me instead. Praise God.
Supplication:
1. Safe travel and protection
as I travel on March 11 to the capital city, Phnom Penh to get my working
permit and be sending off Flindy for the Philippines. But she will be back soon to join us.
2. Smooth transition and complete provision for Shine startup budget.
3. Praying for a good
relationship with the Landlord & his whole family (the couple are both
businessmen), they have two daughters.
4. Shine cell ministry’s
preparations and calendars with the team.
5. Good health, protection,
quality & fruitful time with BSOP International Director, Dr. & Mrs. D.
Nordine with Ma’am Mary Larsen, my TESOL teacher at BTC CGST this March 10-20.
In Christ,
