Women at Work on Labor Day!
*** 25th Women of Worth (WoW) fellowship of the Third District of Masbate in my province was celebrated this week on May 1 at Dimasalang Baptist Church. More than 300 women registered and were encouraged by God’s transforming power to Cambodians' lives, who are now followers of Jesus Christ. It was an honor to share something relevant to them, not only that they are women of worth, but also a woman of witness. I challenged them to send more missionaries to the field or to continue to pray and support the work of the Lord cross-culturally.
***My Sundays have been full of invitations since I returned from Cambodia. It’s easy to refuse and say no to Pastors, but after prayer and seeking God’s will, it became a blessing not a burden. Thus, sharing how to be grateful, joyful, and faithful in serving the Lord is always relevant.
***Nika and Gideon's marriage in Cambodia. Standing as a parent for Gideon in the wedding ceremony was my first experience. It was an honor and at the same a responsibility. I praise God for the rare opportunity to speak in front of many people in the community and in Nika’s family on behalf of the groom. This is another way to support Nika and Gideon as they embark together as a couple in Christ.
***Singim is a beautiful gift from the Lord throughout these years. She has been a good partner at Shine ministries, whether at the center or going to the villages. Her faith in the Lord Jesus grows as her transformed life is visible. She is shy but loves to serve and has memorized more Bible verses than before. We finished two Bible study books and our relationship as a mother and daughter grew deeper. She is now able to share her faith with her friends through her servant's heart. Singim’s mom and sister's family are now comfortable visiting Shine Center. I pray that sooner her mother will open herself for a Bible study. Singim is now looking after the center and my cat, Binx, while I am away. May God’s mercy and saving grace be upon Singim’s family.
Thanksgiving & Praise:
1. Medical check-up was all clear
except for my right hand and arm which needs therapy.
2. Refreshing time with loved ones and
churches.
3. Good health
Supplication:
1. The latest figures show that my account is currently at 83% of my needed budget. I am $168 (PhP9,000) per month short of being fully funded. Pray with me that some can give one-time gifts to help meet that need. Pray also that new monthly supporters will join my team.
2. Quality time with family, church leaders, and mission partners.
3. Spiritual discernment and sensitivity from the Holy Spirit.
Glory and honor to our Abba Father. Thank you so much for your faithful partnership in missions, and to me personally.
“Therefore,
my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of
the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain.”
