EXERCISE  “How would I know if I am spiritually growing in the Lord Jesus?” Mie Oun uttered this question with good curiosity during our intentional discipleship class. I remembered answering that one way to gauge is if her obedience to God brought joy into her heart not a burden.  The same with Essa who has been in our intentional discipleship class for 7 months now, she is a university student with a part-time job, and Singim, Dara, Daneth, Vina, and Noch are now earning at their respective work. Encouraging and challenging these young women and the church to obey God through their tithes and give it with a cheerful heart. Three women gave their testimonies on how they obeyed the Lord in giving their tithes faithfully even during a financial crisis in the family. They experienced peace and contentment because they chose to exercise their faith in God, God’s grace. Praise the Lord! Bible study with Mie Oun at the cafe' WABC church teaching His Word. Glory ...

Our Story is God’s Story July 23, 2008 , God brought me to Cambodia with only three months of secured financial support. Again and again, God shows who He is in His Word. I am grateful to God for the cross and His amazing grace in calling us to be part of His awesome work transforming Cambodians to follow Jesus. Praise the Lord for your active partnership for 16 years! Thank you very much! Looking back, a fisherwoman to fishers of men! Glory is all His.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZv3adQ8dlA  You may click this link to see the birthday greetings.  Transformed Cambodians and disciples of Jesus surprised me with a belated 50th birthday in June at a fancy resort in Battambang. Life beautiful stories in June: Praise the Lord for another opportunity to help Pastor Sam by accepting his invitation to train the new and old teachers in LOHI. As a trained educator, God used this training to help LOHI Cambodian teachers become effective teachers by causing an...

a Ma(y)zing GOD Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord,   because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. 1 Corinthians 15:58   Vina (right), Singim, Sreynoch, and I played "Spot it!" with a twist. It was fun!! Investing life in a few is our intentional discipleship Shine ministry goal. Singim, Vina, and Sreynoch are the Cambodian professionals I am spending time with, not only in learning the Bible but also in listening to them and helping them grow in their line of work as NGO staff.   ***Singim’s confidence in leading activities at work (CGI Green Mango), taking essential parts in our cell group, and discipling others are delightful to uphold. God is at work and using Singim's weakness to show His limitless power. When she was in university and my level 7 English student in 2014, she preferred to sit at the back and was always quiet and...

God’s Love and Grace to Leakhena’s Life Glory to God for the successful Christian wedding of Leakhena and Phirun last month. It was a journey of love, faith, and courage to do the will of God,  despite the challenges, they thrived and triumphed by the grace of God.  Leakhena & Phirun in their Khmer Traditional wedding outfits. Leakhena & Phirun on their wedding day. Leakhena is now the country director of Give It Back to Kids (GIBTK) NGO. She grew up in a small village outside Battambang downtown with a difficult life; she rode her bicycle to finish High School. Halfway through, she lost her mother at the age of 14. So, she worked hard on her studies until she graduated with her Master’s Degree last year while supporting her two siblings in their studies. She was my level 7 English student in her university days and a Bible student in the past years. God’s great love, grace, and guidance have been Leakhena’s refuge and protection despite being depres...
