The Joy of Abiding the LIGHT

BLESSED NEW YEAR!

 

Jesus the Light of the world is the life Giver (John 8:12), and we enjoy sharing his light with everyone. His light allowed us to be the lights to others. Our main goal during the Christmas season has been to proclaim Jesus to be their Light, so all will be out of darkness from sin.  Please watch this video.


Highlights:

***17 followed Jesus from water baptism, 15 from WABC church, and 2 from Shine IDM



***Vina has committed for 6 months this year to doing the kids' ministry at Nika’s village and assisting me at church Sunday School.

***Faith, a dear friend from Dauis Baptist Church, Philippines has visited Shine for a day and has helped me at Green Mango’s Friday Worship and spent time with me and with Shine disciples.

***Green Mango’s (CGI) Friday Worship will be more intentional in discipling the new students to know God. 

***Few kids in the neighborhood, heard the true message of Christmas.

Praise and Thanksgiving:

1. The privilege to proclaim, Jesus Christ, the Light in this world in the whole month of Christmas.

2. Good health, His grace, provision, and strength that give us joy to go another extra mile this year for His glory. Thank you for your partnership.

3. Victory in Jesus for souls saved, transformed, and discipled in 2023.

Prayer and Supplication:

1. Shine Intentional Discipleship ministry, spiritual growth, and obedience to God of Singim, Leakhena, Vina, Makara, Sopheak, Daneth, Lyna, Sreyleak, Mie Oun, Mak Ya, Mak Chan, Sreytoch, and Nika. And the rest of the newly baptized young people at WABC and Green Mango/CGI Friday worship.

2. Intimacy with God in His Word and Prayer. Good Health, strength, and protection. New contacts and discernment. 

3. Loved ones in the Philippines, nieces, and nephews university classes: Nimfa Mae & EJ (siblings & Pastor's kids), Edmar, & Krezia Mae (praying for scholarship), currently stopped on her 3rd year in nursing. And God’s healing mercy to my nephew, Edison. God is Sovereign and faithful.

 

May we continue to be His light in 2024 and beyond as we joyfully abide in Him. Thank you very much for your faithful partnership. 

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

  A QUARTER OF PRAYER, LOVE, AND COURAGE   Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.     And do everything with love.  (I Corinthians 16:13-14) Shine's intentional discipleship ministry seeks to obey the will of the Father .   Please PRAY for Cambodia and Thailand July 28, 2025 Borders remain closed on both sides due to ongoing tensions. The death toll continues to rise, and food scarcity is becoming a real concern, particularly in northeastern and northwestern Cambodia—areas near the border where approximately 80% to 90% of goods are imported from Thailand.
