God's Grace, Goodness and Faithfulness

I truly am grateful to God for adding another year into my life. I celebrated my 44th birthday on May 18 with the acquired family and friends in missions; this is God’s way of saying that no one is alone in God’s ministry. Since I left my family in 2006 for missions I have seen God’s power transforming many lives both Thais and Cambodians. He also molded me in so many ways. God’s sustaining grace allows me to trust and obey Him especially when the circumstances in ministry, family and personal concerns are tough. The roller coaster of life is not easy, yet one thing is certain, God is Sovereign and He knows what lies ahead and good for us. I believe the true beauty of faith and service are best seen in the midst of adversity. Christ Jesus had modeled it on His journey to the cross of Calvary. Thus, I am praying at making the years count as this is Gods’ special gift and love to me. By His grace and mercy I pray that many more souls will be harvested and disciple for His Kingdom. Finally, God is indeed good and faithful throughout these years in meeting all the needs that I have. And may I find faithful until He comes again. God is awesome! Thank you so much for your faithful prayer and partnership. These verses fuel me and my calling in missions; may it will be to you…
But the Lord stood at my side and gave me strength, so that through me the message might be fully proclaimed and all the Gentiles might hear it. And I was delivered from the lions mouth. The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (2 Tim. 4:17-18)

Peace and Order
Cambodia’s general election is fast approaching on July 29 and the government is scrutinizing every institution with foreigners. There is a political crisis in the country. Recently, I was honored to meet the National Director in Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports here at LOHI office. He is roaming around the country to check on the different Non-Government Organization’s (NGO) and schools. Our conversation lasted for more than an hour; Mr. Chap Sophorn was delighted to know how LOHI has impacted the community of Battambang and the neighboring provinces especially with the underprivileged students. However, the government is super strict with the details of our activities inside and outside the center. Moreover, Battambang’s governor called a meeting for all the NGO leaders in the city and I was able to represent LOHI. Men in uniform/ military are visible around everywhere. Cambodia has the longest reigning prime minister in the world. Prime Minister Hun Sen of Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) roles the nation for almost 4 decades now. Prevalently, Cambodians doesn’t know what to expect before and after the election as there is no major opponent running against the administration because the biggest opposition party (CNRP) was dissolved late last year.  Furthermore, a fatal vehicle accident occurred with Funcinfec party heads by the royal family few days ago which allegedly politically related.  Please do check this news link. https://www.bangkokpost.com/news/asean/1487046/prince-ranariddh-injured-wife-dies-in-trafficaccident?utm_source=bangkopost.com&utm_medium=article_news&utm_campaign=most_recent_bottom_box. Consequently, BSOP leadership has created a program-- Thaibodia Training Trek (T3) in Thailand for a month during election.  Each of us BSOP Cambodia worker will help Santisuk English Center Campus.  We will also be joining the Friendship Camp of Santisuk English centers. Hence, I am inviting you to invest once again with me through this T3 one month work in Thailand that will start on July 13 to August 10. Please do check on the budget proposed. Thank you so much for standing with me in reaching more Buddhists people to Christ. May peace and order prevail in the country during and after the national election.

Please Pray for:

·         Peace and order of Cambodia national election.
·         Provision and safe travels to Thailand on July 13, I will be assigned in Prak Ket Nonthaburi province with BSOP Thailand missionary.
·         Good health and intimacy with God in His Word & prayer.
·         Ministry at LOHI while I am away for a month.
·         My brother-in-law, Alex. Miracle healing as the family cannot afford for his dialysis every week. God’s will be done.

In Christ,
Mary Jane G. Aragon
