SHINE
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:16
Are you ready to shine in 2019? I spent Christmas and New Year at home with my siblings, nieces, nephews, relatives, and church. It was a wonderful time of the year to which the Lord has blessed me with.  Indeed, being home and having a loving family in the important season of the year is a huge blessing.

Family is LOVE

It was a full packed vacation with the wedding of my first cousin, Michael. I was the wedding coordinator at that special event. An opportunity to serve and shine for the Lord is a gift.

On New Year’s Day, the majority of my family members gathered together for a wonderful fellowship and at the first hour of 2019, we had Lord Supper with the youth from our church. Challenging the millennials to pursue the life that matters to God by shining in their faith was a privilege.

However, as this New Year has started to kick off, how well I allow this Light to shine? I was tested when my flight back to Cambodia was canceled. Perplexed by the situation that is out of my control, I surrendered it to God with a grateful heart. But God was up to something beautiful out of it. I was invited to speak twice at Cebu World Vision staff retreat in their devotion. God has refreshed my soul in the serenity of the location by the beach. Gazing at the dawn with the splendid sunrise in the vastness of the ocean, my heart was in awe to God. Moreover, it was an honor to be a resource speaker in a 4th-year Missions class of Baptist Theological College (BTC).

It has been three weeks now since I returned to Cambodia from that short break and my hands are full again. May the inextinguishable promises of Jesus will be my light as I continue to SHINE for the furtherance of His Kingdom here in the Kingdom of Wonders of Cambodia. Shine Jesus shine!

Thanksgiving & Supplication
ü  Praise the Lord for His grace, faithfulness, and goodness. My vacation will not be fruitful and meaningful without Him.
ü  Praise the Lord for peace, protection, and healing. My nephew Edison, who is in medication because of depression and my brother-in-law, Alex who is in dialysis.
ü  Praise the Lord for provision, the canceled flights, and changed of airlines were mentally a roller coaster ride already yet the actual flights from Cebu to Bangkok and Bangkok to Siem Reap were smooth.
ü  Finished Midterm Test at LOHI. Half of my students went through.
ü  Strength as I assisted the US team of 17 people in their needs at the center in their one- week straight construction of a multi-purpose building at LOHI center. And I was honored to share in their morning devotion. I worked closely with an 82 years old woman who led the team. I was encouraged by her diligence!
q  Please pray for good health and protection. Ive killed a snake inside the classroom. Ive witnessed recent fatal road accidents due to careless and reckless driving of motorists, which is prevalent here.
q  I will be going to the capital city for passport renewal, safe long travel by bus.
q  Cambodia International Project Teachers (ISP) meeting next month, I will be one of the representatives from Battambang Christian teachers.
q  New Bible Study contact, Sreymom, she is my current student.
q  Panha & Kimseng as they continue to study Bible in our discovery class. Both are our teachers. Theyve been in this class for several months now. Salvation for both of them.
q    Dr. & Mrs. Nordine, safety travels next month and wonderful time together as they visit and guide us, BSOP field workers.

Thank you so much for standing with me in prayer and your faithful partnership in reaching more Cambodians for the Lord Jesus. God be made known. How can I pray for you?

In Christ,
