Living 2024 Intentionally
Knowing our priorities is essential to live a
life with intentionality. Knowing God deeply, is our goal. So we may
obey the Lord faithfully. The first month of 2024 kicked off with blessings,
and one of them was the goal set by the disciples to abide in Christ this year
by reading the whole Bible. Second, is finishing the 21-day prayer and fasting
with a victory despite some challenges. Moreover, two souls surrendered their
lives to Jesus Christ.
Singim, Vina, Sreynoch, Mak Ya, Mak Chan, Sreytoch, Mie Oun, Rath, Leakhena, Sreyleak, Sopheak, and Mak Thi put their goals in words with pictures. Everyone shared their challenges at work and in the family in the first month of this year. However, I am also encouraged to hear their testimonies. And see their active involvement in the ministry except for Mak Thi who doesn’t believe in Jesus Christ yet. One of the common goals they have written was to grow in faith by reading the Bible this year. Mie Oun is now attending the church's Sunday worship. Praise the Lord!
Shine cell prayer fellowship encouraged everyone to prioritize reading the Bible and applying the truth learned in our Bible study. Singim, Vina, and Makara are involved in the village ministry and church Sunday School. Each one was grateful as the Holy Spirit was working in our midst. We were delighted to listen and to pray for one another.
Green Mango Cambodia Global Impact (CGI) Battambang, held its graduation for 12 months of skills training and dedicated its new Training/ classroom building. It was a privilege to give the name of each room, Faith, Hope, & Love, and share His Word on the dedication day. But the event's highlight was that Reaksa and Sreykeo believed and surrendered their life to the Lord Jesus Christ. These two voluntarily offered their life to Jesus on the occasion and asked for our prayers. Hallelujah!
WABC Sunday School started with 3 children and now it is doubled in numbers. Kids are starting to memorize verses and retell the Bible stories they have learned. Singim, and Vina, are my assistants each month; hopefully, they will take over this ministry soon.
Village Children’s ministry at Nika’s place is thriving as the majority of the students are now being hindered from joining the Bible class by their parents. The temple leaders are warning parents not to be allowed to enter the Pagoda if their children continue to study Jesus. So, parents abstain their children from attending our Bible class. However, praise the Lord that few are still coming. Singim, Makara, and Vina are helping with the village ministry. Remember that Vina has volunteered to teach the children for 6 months while Nika is looking after her 5-month-old baby. Everyone is happy with the Bible class. After the ministry, I debriefed Singim and Makara on what they experienced in the village ministry. It’s good to see Singim, Vina, and Makara’s faith in the Lord and service growing. Glory to God.

“Therefore, since we also have such a great cloud
of witnesses surrounding us, let’s rid ourselves of every obstacle and the
sin which so easily entangles us, and let’s run with endurance the
race that is set before us, looking only at Jesus, the originator and perfecter of the faith, who for
the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and
has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1-2
